About Me
I am Aqeel Hassan working as a Regional Intersectional Pharmacist for Médecins Sans Frontiers based in Amman, Jordan. I have also worked as an Intersectional Pharmacist for MENA Region with Medecins Sans Frontieres MSF International, based in Beirut, Lebanon. I am well-qualified registered Pharmacist having a vast experience in several areas in the field of Pharmacy and drug Management, trained and certified and have worked in this field for about 15 years and build positive relationship with working colleagues at all levels. Area of expertise includes Coaching Mentoring, Good Pharmacy Practices (GPP), Regulatory affairs/importation of Pharmaceuticals and medical devices, sourcing quality assured pharmaceuticals and medical devices, Hospital pharmacy, supply chain, Emergency Preparedness response plan, procurement of pharmaceuticals and Med. Consumables, warehouse management along with GDP audits. While I was an Intersectional Pharmacist, my responsibilities mainly focused on quality sourcing and validation of pharmaceuticals and medical devices for our projects in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Yemen Palestine supporting supply team for the selection of quality and cost effective rational source, negotiations with the MoH (NDRA) for the importation of medical cargos, updated an importation file instructing a clear procedure and documents requirement and shared with HQ, European supply centers and the mission. Supporting Annual review of operations, revision of medical standard lists, forecasting, budgeting, International medical orders. Effective and efficient Pharmaceutical Importation Regulatory affairs experience for about 11 years. Possess strong communication skills, consistently providing exceptional services in the area of pharmaceutical supply chain management. Experienced in local procurements and Local Market suppliers assessment. Experienced in designing EPREP scenario, organization of pharmacies and stock management. Country Pharmacy Manager
Worked as a Country Pharmacy Manager at Médecins Sans Frontières, Islamabad, Pakistan Looking out country wide Pharmacy related activities for the improvement of medical consumption management and implementation of MSF strategy and protocols. Preparation of International medical orders for the mission. Working as a liaison officer for MSF with National Authorities (Drug Regulatory Authority, Economic Affairs division for tax exemption and customs clearance) for the importation of medical supplies. Participate in the meetings with other sections of MSF, W.H.O, National TB control program and National health Authorities.
Hospital Pharmacist
Worked as a Hospital Pharmacist at Shifa International Hospital Ltd, Islamabad, Pakistan Compounding, dispensing, provision of drug related information to the patients and physicians and prescription intervention. Worked at In patient department dealing with the compounding of oncology drugs and advising the drug dose regimens to the physicians and staff. Worked at rotation in different Shifa Pharmacies where we have been dealing with stock maintenance, proper warehousing protocols and procedures which includes, proper ventilation of warehouse, ensuring the availability of pallets and racks for proper storage of medicines, stock adjustments according to dosage form and then alphabetical arrangement, following the FEFO procedures for the short expiry items, maintaining the proper record of temperature and humidity along with documentations.
